March 24 & 31 - Bunch-o-Bunnies
I think this is for the kids to meet different Bunnies who will be roaming 119th Street.

Project Peeps Contest due March 27th
This is a contest using those sugary marshmallow chicks in a diorama.
They had some pretty clever ones last year.

March 31st - Easter Parade

May 19th - Garage Mahal
City wide garage sale - including the Robertsdale area of Hammond.

June 23rd - Whiting In Bloom
Need to purchase a ticket to see select houses gardens.

June 30 - July 4th - 4th of July Festival

Summer with the Symphony - Symphony is free, and held at the Whiting Park Pavillion - there is a fee for parking in the lot.
July 21st - August 4th & 18th - September 2nd

July 27th, 28th and 29th - Pierogi Fest

On Whiting's website - www.whitingindiana.com they have a calendar listing these events and other meetings.

On May 8th - Tuesday - at 6 pm, in the Social Room at the Whiting Community Center (1938 Clark Street) Mayor Stahura and City Council will hold an open forum.

The forum is open to anyone who wishes to attend. Majority of people attending want to ask questions or hear what their city officials have to say. All in all, it is a good venue for people who claim to know everything but know nothing to see and hear for themselves.

I realize it is being held in the "Social" Room at the Community Center but I don't think too many people will be socializing!
