http://www.whitingindiana.com/WPDCrimeW ... 9-2008.php Is any action being taken? Does anyone care? Maybe if the young man that was hit with the tire iron was killed, would this be taken seriously then? |

Maybe that's what they are doing ----just watching the crimes  with the person(s) involved in the one with the tire iron, wouldn't a description of a car/or the person(s) involved in this crime/battery/assault been given? or is this just like the one crime that happened on steiber (stabbing) -- nothing happened

 It sounds to me that they're backsliding again. For a while there they were doing a good job, coordinating with HPD for various things (are they still doing this?) But now, it sounds like that old phrase has to be re-applied, "They make Barney Fife, look like Dirty Harry." Maybe some house cleaning needs to be done?

It seems it is now up to the citizens to protect themselves, the P.D. doesn't seem to be interested in doing so. Or could it be they pick and choose who they protect and serve and only in certain parts of the city. FYI (since the P.D. doesn't care) the vehicle is an '02-03 Chevy Malibu, dark green/teal, spoiler, with silver alloy rims - the driver of this vehicle was a mexican with long dark hair, a black passenger who was the one that used the tire iron on the victim and a mexican that actually broke into the vehicle and battered the victim had short straight dark hair (above neck)and slight build - all were in their late teens early twenty's - this incident wasn't just a smash and grab, none of these criminals have any regards for human life, the victim overheard the driver tell the animal with the tire iron to hit him in the head. People please be safe and be aware Also the other "incident" that happened on Steiber - the person doing the stabbing is from Chicago, belongs to the GD's in Chicago, deals drugs, has been arrested in Chicago before, is black, thin build and wears glasses, he still comes and goes to the area where this happened. |
