I have a couple posts already, but since the admin was gracious enough to add this part TY Admin) I feel like I need to tell my story, so here goes: My name is Bill Stearns, I was born in Gary Indiana in 1966. My family lived in East Gary. As I grew older, I learned East gary started out as Lake Station & they wanted to use that name again. So it happened. I would up growing up & away from Lake Station. Sometimes living as close as Portage & other times as far away as Georgia. All through life I wore really thick glasses & that is something that made life very interesting. (Bullied & cruelity) In 1993 I was eligible for disability as Legally blind. I have been drawing a check ever since. Parents moved from Lake Station to Greene County. I would up staying with them for awhile. Went through a divorce & wound up in Portage where I met my wife. We married & had twins & raise her son too. We have moved to Greene County since then. I started out making a website for this county. Greene County Resources www.gcindiana.info It is my "Give back to the community" website. As time went on, I started making more websites. I realized Lake Station had one that looked terrible & was never updated. So I put in a bid to do it & make it right. I have been taking care of www.LakeStation.IN.gov for almost a year now. I also take care of their chamber website: www.lakestationchamber.com. I may have more to post abot later. 1am here & I am frazzled. Look for more posts SOON... |
