Little Village Raid

I'm sorry to say I am finding what US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald is saying about that heavily armed raid on the alleged fake ID operation in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood a little hard to believe.
I usually have a lot of respect for Fitzgerald's corruption fighting efforts.I admired his work to expose the rat's nest fronted by Scooter Libby. But this time, I have to think there was some anti-immigrant bias shown in this raid.
When Rudy Clay Jr. set up a fake ID business IN A COUNTY-OWNED BUILDING in Gary, no machine gun-toting agents were sent to bust him. In fact, he was allowed to continue for months after his rent-free occupation of the building was brought to the attention of the Lake Count Commissioners, of which his father was a member at the time.
When Fitzgerald talks about the threat these fake IDs in Little Village pose to us all, I have to wonder WHY Rudy Jr.'s fake IDs were considered so trivial he got off with probation.
So what is the difference here, hmmm?

Maybe he isn't getting along with his Mexican wife. Maybe she's holding out, and now he's mad!

Didn't know he had a Mexican wife, but something ain't right about all this. I thought Mexican wives were usually submissive to their husband's wishes anyway, or is that just a stereotype?

Free: I don't know, however, I should have added the fact that she's a Mexican~AMERICAN. Was born here, and has been here for generations.

I just don't like the force and intimidation factor used in that raid. THey even raided an alderman's dad's photo studio. He was there for over 30 years.

Well, i guess they are trying to make Bush look good. 26th street has been around for a long time, and there have never been raids there.
