Police have positively identified a body found in Calumet City as 28-year old Nailah Franklin of Chicago.
Franklin had been missing for more than a week when the body was discovered behind an abandoned business on River Oaks Drive. Her family had barraged the media with pleas for information about her whereabouts.
She seemed like a nice person. Her pictures show she was also beautiful.
It's a shame when a positive role model for young girls like her ends up murdered. She showed a girl can work at a good job, live in a nice condo and drive a nice car without being some gangsta's ho.
IN addition to the loss of a young life, her murder destroys a positive example for girls who are showered with conflicting images in the media continuously. What a shame!
