This should be interesting...

Source: Feds take Gov. Blagojevich into custody

A source said today that Gov. Rod Blagojevich was taken into federal custody at his North Side home this morning. The U.S. attorney's office would not confirm the information, and a spokesman for the governor did not immediately return a phone call for comment.

Finally. What took so long.
Better tell George Ryan to make up the other bed, he has a "bunkie".

Oh no, Ryan may get Pardoned :)

I would love to be a fly on the wall if they were to become cell mates though, just imagine the fun conversations they could have together

U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald is a very intelligent, meticulous, and thorough individual.

He does not seek publicity by handing out indictments haphazardly.

Mr. Balgojevich can and will profess his innocence while out on bond.

But I would bet a conviction is assured.

Good work, Patrick Fitzgerald !!

Sounds like the makings of a new reality show with them two and Ryan in the same cell. Call it Lifestyles of the High and Mightily Fallen.

I never saw Fitzpatrick so worked up before. He seemed as if he truly considered it enough of an emergency to get Blago today.

It was an emergency. Among other things, the Tribune has been sitting on this story since last Friday.

They look alike, they talk alike, they even lie alike. Jerry Geneva and Blago.

Know what's funny sorta? Here Blogo was being a "jerk" about peddling off a US Senate seat to the highest bidder, although the case could loosely be made for comparisons when it takes $2 bil to get into a $1 mil + perks a year job as Obama did. But now here comes the replacement for Hillary's Senate seat perhaps going to a Kennedy who has never held an elected office in her life!

http://a-list.msn.com/default.aspx?cp-s ... chlossberg

And is this rumor actually true? The Nanny wants to compete for the seat too?

http://search.live.com/news/results.asp ... orm=MSNHAL

I can maybe see doing that in a US House seat, but the US Senate is supposed to be a bit more reserved for people who know what they're talking about and not just paying back personal and family donations and favors. ;)
