Did anybody notice that Murvan's new law on timely property tax bills sounds a lot like something I have been demanding for over 5 years now? One way his bill is different from my idea is I also said at some point if they STILL could not have the bill figured out then you would own no more than all of last year's bill and possibly some small percentage like max 3% optionally added if needed. Then that would be it! You would owe nothing more. As I understand it Murvan's bill sounds like you would only pay nothing more for the current year but I'm unclear if that remaining difference can be tacked on to your bill the following year.

In all I'm only sorry it took this long for someone to listen to a good and much needed idea and for it to see the light of day. I can live with this! It's definitely a big improvement. Thank you Frank Murvan!!
