Jesse Jackson will never let that happen. Then there would be no excuse to suck in all those Federal tax dollars they feel an entitlement to.

Board set to rule on Gary request for tax help Four Gary taxing districts will learn April 13 whether they will be permitted to charge rates in excess of the state's property tax caps for a third straight year. The Indiana Distressed Unit Appeals Board is scheduled to announce its decision on Gary's request for property tax cap relief at 9 a.m. region time in the 9th floor conference room at 1 N. Capitol St., Indianapolis. Under the caps, Gary's 2011 city revenue should be $30 million. In January, city officials asked the board to approve a $41.1 million levy this year while the city works to bring spending under the $30 million cap by 2012. |

I doubt all them fans will blow the stench out of Gary. And Federal dollars won't refresh city government. What needs to be addressed is why no one wants to be caught dead in Gary and what it can do to live within the means of the revenues generated. |

Here’s its summary: PRINCIPAL FINDINGS in respect of analysis of electricity generation from all the U.K. windfarms which are metered by National Grid, November 2008 to December 2010. The following five statements are common assertions made by both the wind industry and Government representatives and agencies. This Report examines those assertions. “Wind turbines will generate on average 30% of their rated capacity over a year.†“The wind is always blowing somewhere.†“Periods of widespread low wind are infrequent.†“The probability of very low wind output coinciding with peak electricity demand is slight.†“Pumped storage hydro can fill the generation gap during prolonged low wind periods.†This analysis uses publicly available data for a 26 month period between November 2008 and December 2010 and the facts in respect of the above assertions are: Average output from wind was 27.18% of metered capacity in 2009, 21.14% in 2010, and 24.08% between November 2008 and December 2010 inclusive. There were 124 separate occasions from November 2008 till December 2010 when total generation from the windfarms metered by National Grid was less than 20MW. (Average capacity over the period was in excess of 1600MW). The average frequency and duration of a low wind event of 20MW or less between November 2008 and December 2010 was once every 6.38 days for a period of 4.93 hours. At each of the four highest peak demands of 2010 wind output was low being respectively 4.72%, 5.51%, 2.59% and 2.51% of capacity at peak demand. Just to fill you in, there has been a rift between Hatcher and Jessee Jackson Sr. for years. In public they greet each other as great friends, but behind the scene they don't get along. Case in point> Years ago Jackson was leading a bus tour to Washington for one of his marches. He didn't want Hatcher to show up. So Jackson said they wouldn't be stopping in Gary to pick up anyone, once they pulled out of Chicago. Hatcher drove to Chicago to get on board anyway. Jackson was furious. I have other incidents that showed there lack of love for each other. Jessee doesn't want to share those cameras with anyone if possible. Read the book "Shakedown" you will learn a lot of behind scenes never devulged. My knowing about the bus trip was my personal knowledge, not from any book. |
