22 miles of swamp land and river without any overseer the city of Gary and the majority of its people does not care if the river plugs up and destroys your neighborhood! Last Sat., myself and some others canoed the Little Cal. My canoe did go quite aways into Gary but turned around and went back to our launch (Indy Blvd). The others planned to go all the way to Lake Michigan but couldn't because of a heavy log jam past Chase Street. I enjoyed your video! the community is not taking advantage of all the funding that is available to sport fishermen that could improve conditions on the river. |
