So let me get this straight. Not even 1 Republican candidate? Not even John McCain or Lamar Alexander? What about Colin Powell?

Whoa, did someone say "Colin Powell?" Now there is one guy, and maybe the ONLY guy, whom I could enthusiastically support and whom I could vote for without feeling that I am choosing the lesser of two (or least of three) evils.

I could see myself voting for John McCain somewhat enthusiastically.

The irony is that either would be my compromise choice. Still, if the point is finding someone whom most people could find things to like then I guess I could live with either.

I know of no Dem I could accept today, but I'm certain they'll wind up picking a candidate whom I really despise. :D

Colin Powell, for pete's sake, why? The guy lied in the UN, hence the world, about Saddam's non-exsistent WMD. Was a part of the Mai-Lie Massacre cover-up, a simple paper pusher; come on guys, come up with someone better!

WMDs have been found in Iraq. They haven't found NUCLEAR weapons, but they have found WMDs.

Then they are NOT WMD. AND, they have NOT found any non-nuclear WMD's. I didn't think there was still people who STILL believe this garbage.

WMD stands for weapon of mass destruction. Meaning it does a whole lot of damage. A nuclear weapon is the ultimate in WMDs but not end all be all. If you reread my post, you'll see that I did not say that nuclear weapons have been found.

Then again, you probably believe that most of the people fighting us over there are Iraqis.

Now what weapon does mass destruction? WMD are chemical and nuclear, you didn't have to mention nuclear, the WHOLE world knows what WMD mean. AND they could be chemical, HOWEVER, no evidence was ever found even for chemical ones.

Coulfd mcmayor have learned earlier about Hammond's part in the Healthy Start prenatal program he resigned from recently?
IN a story in today's NWITimes, former Hammond Health Director Helene Uhlman says she tried to tell McdErmott about the program but he refused to meet with her. He had been trying to get Uhlman fired since he took office, and eventually suceeded.
McDermott has said Hammond might start its own program. but the remaining members of the Health Start group say his resignation may jeapordize the program since an interlocal agreement was signed among them to get the federal money.
Like mcmayor, I wonder how bills were being paid while the group was having no meetings. But Iam starting to see the telltale signns of him attempting to wrest control of the program for himself, and if Uhlman is telling the truth, his refusal to listen to someone who could have filled him in on what was going on a long time ago. I guess time will tell whether he deserves poraise or derision for his actions on Healthy Start.
Here's the story

Kiesling also had a column about Healthy Start this week. But if what Uhlman is saying is true, mcmator COULD HAVE known about Healthy STart a lot sooner if he hadn't refused to meet with her:

Actually, a WMD is a weapon that can indiscrminately kill a large amount of people.
