Here's a look at our Rosa's Office Plus SnowCast for the lake effect snow event beginning Tuesday morning and continuing through Wednesday Morning. This will be a big time lake effect snow event with very heavy snowfall possible. Lake County Indiana looks to be the winner with over 12" of snow possible and isolated areas could see up to 2 feet.

The good news is that this lake effect snow band will be transient, meaning it won't sit over any one particular area for to excessively long. But it will produce snowfall rates of 2-3" per hour. That means that much of the area on this map will see very very nasty travel conditions with near whiteout and blizzard conditions.
