Katz said the Development Corp. is being urged to consider the settlement because Plasmatronics is near bankruptcy. However, Plasmatronics PLC makes parts for Porsche, and Katz said 2008 bank statements from the guarantor indicate the company receives an average of about $40,000 a month from Porsche. Katz said Monday it would be "irresponsible" not to examine the company more closely if there's a possibility to recover more than $120,000 of the loan.

Good Lord! Porsche has been the one car company that has been immensely profitable the last couple of years. I googled "Porsche Profits". They made over $10 Billion last year. If Plasmatronics is supplying parts to Porsche, they certainly should be able to repay Crown Point's loan in full.

If Plasmatronics is near bankruptcy, where are they going to get $120,000 to pay the settlement amount? This sounds like ploy just like their fuel saving device.

You may not have seen this correction since it was buried in today's NWIT. Tabloids accuse in headlines and correct behind the classifieds:

Financial information incorrect: A story that ran in Oct. 20 editions about the company Plasmatronics incorrectly stated that bank statements from Plasmatronics showed payments from Porsche. Plasmatronics' attorney, Joseph Stalmack, said the company does not receive any money from Porsche.
The Times regrets the error.
=========================

You may further be interested to know it was Allan Katz who appears to have instigated the unilateral breach of our agreement with CP, Katz who accused us of misrepresenting our proven tech and demanded we fund additional testing long after FSG completed their carefully detailed due diligence based on our EPA testing and financials.

This breach of contract is why we severed ties to your city and will no longer be able to offer 200+ jobs to your workforce. He then followed up with several "leaks" to the NWIT that he suspected we'd misappropriated funds and overstated the amount spent on construction improvements to our facility, among other insinuations and fabrications later refuted.

ALL of his allegations have been documented to be false. But tabloids accuse in headlines and bury lame "corrections" in the classifieds, if they make them at all.

Katz stated in his 10/20 quote in the NWIT that the city council has threatened to cap funding for the development corp's legal fees, and opined that they'd spent over $100K with Ice Miller. This $100+K expenditure was made because of Katz's insistence on trying to find wrongdoing on our part that he had been provided proof never did, and does not, exist. So the city has spent $100+K of taxpayer money and over a year to come to the conclusion that they should accept what very closely resembles the offer of settlement we made just after the city BREACHED our contract.

You do the math. Katz is a loose cannon working for his own personal agenda, not the citizens of CP.

Has anyone asked Allan Katz about his past legal work for British Petroleum and whether he's been retained to discredit technology that might decrease their profits? Interesting that he called us in our hotel room before Governor Daniels had even left in his motorcade after the press conference welcoming us to Indiana, breathless and apoplectically demanding patent numbers and hysterically screaming that our tech could reduce demand for imported oil "by 33%" (his number, not ours, which he's tried to ascribe to us in several articles).

Yet, we mustn't place the responsibility for all of this misinformation only on Katz's shoulders. He has been the unchallenged, never publicly corrected, de facto spokesperson for the city of Crown Point, so we assume they all agree with, and share responsibility for the damage done by his public accusations.

well thank God SOMEONE was watching out for the citizens of crown point! It certainly wasn't Bob Corbin and Dan Klein who brought you pathetic parasites to feed at the trough. I see you have resorted to attacking the messenger. old tactic used by politicians when they're caught. oh well Linda, you taught us all a good lesson that we won't soon forget.

BTW where are you now? you got that hammond kid with you or is he still hiding Canada?
