What happened to Obama's message of change? He chose a V.P. that has been in Washington 35 years and was the strongest supporter of the Iraq war.

The change would be toward socialism.

If your taxes are not high enough, by all means vote for O'Bama.

The great governor from Alaska, Sarah Palin, with an 80 percent approval rating by all the governors in America. This is truly change. Non-polluted by the corruption in Washington. With governor experience. Knows how to manage an economy and a state. Strong on crime prevention. I hate to use that Democratic worn-out cliche that I've come to hate, but I think John McCain really hit this one out of the ballpark.

As a governor of a state which boarders 2 foreign counties she has mare international knowledge as a VP than a guy who gave a speech in Germany who the dems have as their front runner.

Appearing on Face the Nation less than three weeks ago, Republican strategist Karl Rove singled out Virginia Governor Tim Kaine, who was on Obama's short list.

"With all due respect again to Governor Kaine, he's been a governor for three years, he's been able but undistinguished," Rove said. Of course, Palin has been governor -- of a much, much smaller state -- for less than two years.

Rove also said: "I don't think people could really name a big, important thing that he's done. He was mayor of the 105th largest city in America." Of course, Palin was formerly mayor of a town that must be ranked about 15,000th biggest in America.

He added, "So if he were to pick Governor Kaine, it would be an intensely political choice where he said, `You know what? I'm really not, first and foremost, concerned with -- is this person capable of being president of the United States?'"

Showing off your atrocious math skills, and all around stupidity now, shift worker? :smt005

Obama was sworn in as a senator on January 4, 2005 That would make it closer to 1335 which, may I may add, is over 3 1/2 years.

The lefties miss the point again, it was with only 140 days in the senate that obama began his run for president.

Once again you show off your astounding stupidity and atrocious math skills. I would think that after the way I just made a complete fool of you, you'd be more careful, but apparently I was wrong. How sad...........

Obama was sworn in as a senator on January 4, 2005
On February 10, 2007 Obama announced his candidacy for President of the United States

That totals about 766,dumbass.

DOBSON: Well, I think the Democrats are going to have a real hard time making a big deal out of her experience. She has had executive experience. Barack Obama has had none. He's had about 140 working days in the Senate, and how in the world they can point to the standard bearer with as little experience as he has had, and then begin to criticize the vice presidential pick?

I don't think that's going to go anywhere.

Quote:
Clinton even noted that he was younger than Obama when he ran for president in 1992 -- but failed to mention that he'd had 10 years experience as a governor and attorney general of Arkansas, while Obama's legislative experience consists of 140 days as a U. S. senator.

Quote:
Yes, during the primary season, candidates disagree on policies and positions on issues. This is how they attempt to distinquish themselves from one another. But I have never heard candidates refer to their colleague as “not ready to lead, too inexperienced and too naive.” Who better to make an assessment of Obama than those who have served with the senator during his 140 days (yes, that is all) in the senate, and who have firsthand knowledge of what qualifications are needed for the highest office in the land?

Quote:
Obama has no military experience, is limited to about 140 days in the Senate and is an outspoken critic of the war in Iraq. Even so, Perdue said he has no problem with leaving national security in Obama’s hands.

Quote:
Presumably, Biden fills in the gaping hole in Obama’s resume when it comes to foreign affairs. It’s also a sure bet that he has spent more than Obama’s 140-plus days in the Senate chambers when it’s been in session.

And during that 140 days in the Senate, Obasama managed to vote against funding for the Troops in combat.

How sad. :(

I guess none of those wingnut loons can count either. Are they poorly educated shiftworkers like you?

Once again....Obama was sworn in as a senator on January 4, 2005

Do the math, use your fingers and toes if you have to,it comes out to 2 years and 1 month.

It appears that Artie the Banned is unable to delete the posts and he doesn't understand that the Senate is not in session 24/7.

Or is our little troll trying to count fundraising and hanging out with "God Damn America" Wright as "experience"...?
Maybe smoking dope and doing a little blow should count as well...?

LMAO

Why is that a big deal.

Hell a lot of people do not know what official capacity the VP does.

I wish I could be VP, get paid for 4 yrs and do exactly nothing

I would expect the Gov of a State should at least have some idea. At the very least she should have known that a VP breaks ties in the senate. Didn't she ever take a civics course in high school? I believe they're required.

How many people do you know apply for jobs they have no idea about? What's more....How many employers would hire a person that has no idea of what the job entails:? I know I wouldn't and I doubt most employers would either.

Not knowing what a VP does is not a big issue at all.

You may think it is, but not many others are.

If it was, how come its not all over the news right now, like Rev Wright was?

I read many articles stating that Obama served only 140 of those days in the Senate.

What gives me doubts about him is the fact that he whispered in Emil Jones' ear "You have a lot of power." Emil Jones replied, "I do?" Obama said, "Yes, you have the power to make me a senator." Words to that effect.

Which means, straight out of the most crooked-political-wise state of Illinois....all it took was a whisper to get where he got.....

So, in my heart, Obama did not work his way up to the presidency. He slipped his way up. I don't trust him for his word...I keep envisioning everyone running him; not him running the country.

I also don't think most of the people who are in favor of him are voting on records and past history. My guess is they are voting for him for representing the color of their skin; they are the uneducated voters - who base their vote on the skin....not for someone who still hasn't explained in detail how he would enact his "CHANGE(S)."

Yes, it'll be a tough election, but I'm placing my faith in the conservatives; and track-records. Given a choice...I'm voting for McCain now, though I wish we had been given better candidates on each side.
