Everyone knows there are two sets of laws and penalties — one for police personnel and one for civilians.

Why all the snubs against the help-wanted ads? Some of us desire these honest, American jobs. All of us cannot sit back and hope for sit-on-your-butt union jobs. Those jobs have been shipped overseas.

News flash, people: Your man Mitch Daniels didn’t rescind the order on the maximum number of people allowed in the Statehouse from the kindness of his heart. Potential costly lawsuits tend to make you have a change of heart.

I can understand the Republicans’ dilemma choosing a candidate to run for president of our country. It’s like deciding which you like best — cabbage, broccoli or Brussels sprouts.

I don’t mind paying my fair share of taxes, but I do mind when it is wasted on ridiculous things. If taxes need to be raised for education, health care for children, the veterans or the elderly, I’m happy to step up.

I’m sick of seeing all these pretentious names that start with an initial: They always seem to be people in higher education or politics. Hyphenated names are starting to bug me, too.

I work for a school system, and I would like to know why some parents are so rude and blame all or any school personnel for their children’s poor behavior, instead of acknowledging the children were wrong and accepting some of the responsibility.
