NWI Times archives blocked

I went to look at some old Times news stories tonight, and was shocked to see a message from Google that the site was blocked! Here's the Google message:

Everyone likes to dump on The Times. There are repeated threats to cancel subscriptions (no one does) and to swear by the Post Tribune. No one likes their coverage (or lack thereof) of anything. I'm no fan either, but then a) I've never had a subscription, and b) I don't read every word and then complain about rotten reporting (every single day). Kind of reminds one of those folks who never listen to Rush Limbaugh but can quote chapter and verse from every show. Anyway, if its such a rotten paper, who cares about what happens to the site or the hardcopy? Just ignore it and let it go away.

Disagree!
The Times has the only news archives available that date back to 1990. There is no other way to verify what's gone on in the Region during that time. I mean what REALLY happened, not what the current spinmeisters spew.
I'd love to know who is responsible for the malicious software plaguing the archives. I hope the Times can track him or her down. I can imagine any number of Lake County beneficiaries who would prefer to limit access to Region history.
I have a lot of issues with the Times, but I want it and the Post-Tribune to survive. They are our only remaining sources of relatively pure news.

I believe that has to do with your security settings. The notice I got said it was prompted by my security preferences, and it explains about the malicious software Google detected when they investigated.
I'm still getting the block today.
I sent an email to the Times asking them about it a short while ago.

I don't know what in the world is going on at the Times.
As of 8:30 PM, the archives are being blocked on my computer by Google again.
I got no response today to my email to the Times about this problem.

Archives STILL blocked by Google as an "attack site" at about 9 AM on June 20.

There are probably ads on these pages that have malicious software built into them that Google is picking up. Just use the Times site itself to search and all should be well.

The warning pops up when I just try to go to the archives. Doesn't matter from where-my favorite list, th Times own news site, whatever.
I have the option of ignoring the warning but I don't really want to do that.

Now the Times business section is also apparently infected.
Anyone see what's in that section today?
Too bad the Times doesn't see fit to answer questions about such things from readers. Perhaps that's part of the reason they are going down the tubes.
