John Adams one of 10 who were heavily involved in the creation of the Constitution could not have been any clearer:
"The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were. . . . the general principles of Christianity. . . . I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God; and that those principles of liberty are as unalterable as human nature." John Adams (taken from a letter to Thomas Jefferson on June 28, 1813)
Thanks for playing.......
Uh USMarine, this statement expresses the "basis" for achieving
independence, e.g. the motivation behind independence. The original argument was that this country was FOUNDED on Christian principles. Adams comments are clear, and no mincing of the meaning can be argued.

No response to the source of you quotes? Thought not... the bias undermines the credibility, only those like you take them at face value and use them to substantiate your narrow-minded view of the world.
