Yesterday one hundred and fifty volunteers hit the streets across northwest Indiana and set up over 5,000 yard signs for Pete Visclosky. It was a blast to get together for breakfast with other volunteers, talk some politics and deliver signs. Here is a link for anyone who wants a yard sign.

The people who care enough about our country to place signs in their yards do vote. They also influence others who may be undecided. The radical agenda of the hard right is going to hurt the Republicans this November. Do these people really think they can be elected by advocating abolishing Social Security,Medicare and the Dept. of Education?

You mean the ones who are paid to put them up thanks to money from "major contributors?" hint, hint

Believe me no amount of advertising will help him keep his job this year. Not that NWI has much advertising means outside of yard signs & billboards. Folks minds are already set in stone. He'll either win or lose. Better for us if he loses with the GOP taking over a working majority of the House anyway.

We'll find out in a few short weeks...eh donut boy? In a congress full of POS..slippery Pete is one of the biggest POS there. If the electorate of this county was not dominated by minorities and knuckle-dragging union gorillas (who have watched their numbers dwindle to nothing on this guys watch) who blindly and mindlessly pull the "D" lever, this bum would have been long, lone gone.

Yeah sure, and tell me honestly, how many vacant lots did you hit.

Don't make me laugh!

What color is the sky in YOUR world?

The radical Marxist agenda of the hard lefties that Obama has been barreling down with Pelosi and Reed is what is driving turn out for this election.

Honestly (there is that word again) don't you watch the news?

Who exactly is running on those issues? Link please?

I'm pretty sure what the people think has more to do with stopping Obamacare and stopping trillion dollar bail outs of over extended union retiree plans that he call a jobless recovery.

They must really brain wash you guys good down at the union hall.

Thanks for opening your mouth and showing everyone just how foolish you are.

You heard it here, from Sparky folks, a vote for Viscloski, is a vote for Obama's continued socialist agenda.

Guess I haven't been paying attention. What is the name of the person running against Pete? Or against Dave Lain - his sign is up in a neighbor's yard.

Visclosky has one of the easiest races in the country,in part because of his opponent, Mark Leyva. Mark has already lost to Visclosky in the last six straight elections. You have to wonder why the Repubs can't select a more credible opponent.

Ah Sparky, I knew you couldn't answer the questions or provide the link.

Sharon Angle wants to shift pretty far toward supporting personal accounts for Social Security, having talked about allowing young and middle-aged workers to "opt out" of the program, of "phasing out" Social Security.

Here's a Larry King interview that took a surprising turn: in the middle of discussion about whether it was appropriate to accuse President Obama of "terrorism," St. Louis tea party leader Dana Loesch admitted that she wanted to abolish Social Security -- and her tea party leader compatriot Wayne Allyn Root [the 2008 vice presidential nominee of the Libertarian Party] joined her in calling for its elimination.

Mark Leyva is the one running against Visclosky the worthless. Visclosky is STILL under investigation for questionable campaign contributions. One of the main money funnellers to Visclosky just pleaded guilty a couple of weeks ago for doing illegal things in regards to campaign funds. The choice is simple, vote back in the worthless under investigation Visclosky, or vote for Leyva.

I'm going to guess that a lot of those "volunteers" were thick-tongued union nosepickers whose jobs have vanished or whose hours are severely attenuated thanks to the throwback mentality rampant in NWI. If not them, they were probably the aforementioned "gimme mine" half-wit minorities. I'm also going to go out on a limb and guess that the biggest blast for you was breakfast.

If you really want to influence a Lake County voter you offer him cheap tobacco or liquor in a paper bag.
