It's people like Splorks and his union thug pals that have created a hostile environment for companies here in America. There was a Whirlpool facility in Indiana that closed costing over 300 people their jobs because the union wouldn't negotiate.

Typical.

In all fairness the unions can't hold a candle to the rules, regulations, tax policies etc. that government at all levels is using to create a hostile work environment. All while claiming to be looking out for the "little guy".

Ahhh...thank you for helping clarify my post, bert68.

I buy all my boots from Berey Bros. Name the everyday crap Americans buy that is still possible to buy American made. Kids shoes, shirts, place mats, throw rugs, hand tools, tv's, kitchen appliances etc. etc. etc. How would not shopping at WalMart change a damn thing?

As a corporation, WalMart has led the push to close American factories. Here is a well researched article that goes into depth about how WalMart has used it's economic might to ship jobs overseas and help undermine the middle class. It's a great read if you are interested in business, power and money. http://www.fastcompany.com/magazine/77/walmart.html
