I feel so sorry for Martha, who is a thoughtful, caring woman who pays attention to what is going on in the world. The admin here and at the Times know she and I are different people. In fact, the admin here, at my request, posted same some time ago but I'm not going to search it out for you again. Think what you want, but I tell you an innocent person is being harrassed when you go after Martha.

My recent post was not based on the complaint of any one individual. I have received complaints from at least 5 different members recently concerning the forum. Ultimately my decision was not based on any individual complaint. I read the forum daily and I think it was pretty obvious to everyone the direction the conversation was headed in recent weeks.

In regard to some of your concerns that Martha and Freetime and others are the same person posting under different usernames I did some investigation. One thing I did confirm is that Martha and Freetime are NOT the same person.

Depending on a members network configuration, some members IP addresses constantly change and some members IP addresses always remain the same. The technical term for this is Dynamic and Static IP addressing. For those members whose IP address never changes (static) it is very easy to determine if they post under multiple member names.

In freetimeâ€™s case every single post of hers comes from the same IP address, which is used by no one else on this board but freetime. Iâ€™m only revealing this information to everyone because she asked me to in the post above. I believe it is important to protect the identities of our members and as a rule I donâ€™t disclose personal information about any of the members of the forum.

Hope this clears up the issue. There are certainly more important and interesting things to discuss in Northwest Indiana and around the world than freetimeâ€™s IP address.
