Just a heads up to anyone considering joining the Double Secret Special Forum: I've had several of my own posts edited arbitrarily and without acknowledgement, presumably by the Admin., for the simple fact that I addressed Sparks as Sparkles. Who knows what else might be changed in anyone's posts.

Update:

Admin. claims that the editing was done mistakenly, due to technogeek reasons I don't fully understand. I will accept that explanation as long as it doesn't happen again.

How in the world does a post get "mistakenly" edited?
I'm glad those kind of "mistakes" don't happen here.

Here is the back story on this situation: In the course of an exchange with â€˜sparksâ€™, I addressed him instead as â€˜Sparklesâ€™. He began having conniptions and said that he considered it to be name-calling. He was so upset that I think he may have started his period earlier than he expected to (and with an unusually heavy flow, to boot), and he ran and complained to the administrator. The administrator activated some sort of software which would, whenever I typed in anything resembling the word â€˜Sparklesâ€™, automatically replace that word with â€˜sparksâ€™ (I canâ€™t find the original post with the administratorâ€™s explanation â€“ it may have been deleted).
Long story short, thatâ€™s what I was referring to.

The whole thing makes me sick I'm still dealing with the rotten viruses my computer got after my short dealings with the Nazi and his Nazi board. I've had this computer about 3 years and never had this sort of problem.
That admin is mentally ill, IMO.

The administrator here has done the same thing with â€˜free.t***â€™ and â€˜free.tardâ€™. Those words without the embedded periods will be replaced with â€˜freetimeâ€™.

The administrator on the Times board has done the same thing with â€˜Plasmatronicsâ€™ and â€˜Chidesterâ€™. Those words will be replaced with â€˜*â€™.

Is that censorship? Do you think those administrators are board nazis as well?
