The psycho cat has awakened at the vet's, and I suspect he has gone to "groom" himself by now and has discovered there is much less of himself to wash.
I feel kinda bad about it, but I know it is what a responsible pet owner does, right?

IMO, absolutely- too many unwanted animals around our nation- s*** no wonder the Chinese come over in droves to "site see"- ;)

KIDDING!! KIDDING!!!

I still think you should have declawed the front paws to save yourself from grief, but again, just my opinion. You did the right thing in getting him "fixed".

Thanks. He doesn't seem to be holding it against me, but he is still pouncing on my feet and legs scratching me up like he always did, the juvenile delinquent.
I sometimes wish I didn't know what a major thing it is to take their claws.
I'm glad that he'll never be able to slip outside and make psycho kittens.

It's not like it used to be, Freetime. Our Crazy Jack had his claws out and he was just fine. It took a few days because his paws were a little tender, but he had no problems and now it's great. He can play and run around without tearing things up or scratching the kids. We left his back claws in so he still has some defenses should he ever need it. I believe he is happier and more carefree as our attitude and behaviour towards him has changed as well with knowing that he can't scratch us. Even the dog is more friendly once she figured out that he didn't have lethal weapons attached to his paws anymore.

To each his own though. You definately did the right thing by getting him snipped.
Best of luck to you and your "psycho friend".... :smt006
