Please, USMarine, don't take offense to what I wrote!
I'm not that thin-skinned, Screech.
I certainly agree that if a cat is going to be outside (I don't like cats running loose around the neighborhood, but I digress....) then by all means, they need their defenses.

If your Jack-Jack stays inside, then there is no reason to worry about it.
I just don't want him hunting and catching the birds that I feed.......
You would laugh if you saw him ambush Kate.....
He'll hide behind furniture and when she walks by, he'll jump out and "attack" her. Sometimes she barks at him but he doesn't care. I'm not really a cat person but when he came to me, I called the city and they said they would keep him for a week and if nobody claimed him, they would "dispose" of him.....
I figured the little guy didn't do anything to deserve "disposal" so I thought the wife and kids might want to keep him........
So I got to be the hero for saving "Crazy Jack", Jack got a new home, the kids and wife got a real character to play with and love, and Kate got someone to bug her on a daily basis.
Never a dull moment around our house.....
