When I was a kid nobody was to do nothin' between 3 - 6 PM out of respect for Jesus being on the cross.

I seem to remember one year coming home from school early on Good Friday (or perhaps I just equated the event on a different day) and there was an eclipse which made it feel really eery. So I could just imagine how they felt that day 2,000 years ago when they killed the Son of God. I'd be scared too! ;)

I have always considered the "curfew" time from noon until 3 PM.

Noon to 3pm. Jesus was crucified at Noon, and died on the Cross at 3pm. During that time at my home, no TV, radio, music, etc, and we go to the outside Stations of the Cross at the Carmelite Monastery at 2pm. There had to be a good 500 people in attendance today, even though the weather was not real good.

I think it's a good habit Tiger. I might try it your way next year.

Check out the Carmelite Monastery too. It is an absolutely awesome place ! Many non-Catholics go there, just to walk the grounds, and contemplate. It is a great place to go, to just walk around, think things out, or ask for Advice from Above. :D :D :D

....or, you could just ask the Infallible Union Electrician from Hammond. Think of him as God's Own Shop Steward. I'm sure he does.
