I saw an interesting segment on the History Channel about the death of Hitler. They basically disproved the alleged eyewitness accounts claiming they heard the gun shot because the rooms in the bunker were soundproof. Then they had access to Russia's Myth files (which is what they titled their original investigation of the death) and the skull from the hasty attempt to burn the body & blood stained wood supposedly from the chair he committed suicide in. Turned out to be a woman's skull and the blood DNA on the chair was the same as the skull.

Of course all this proves is that the Russians had bogus evidence of Hitler's death. But that raises the question of why the Russians kept a bogus report and bogus evidence all these years. My guess is the Russians just needed some kind of proof to be able to show people and never thought science would ever expose their hoax.

So what DID happen to the body of Adolph Hitler? Curious indeed!

I saw on a news crawler just yesterday this same information. Still nobody that I know of has tried to find out who the female was. Without testing family's DNA against possible matches such as Eva I guess it will remain one of history's little mysteries. That said, from the segment I don't think the skull is of someone old enough to be Eva from what I recall. I think they said probably early 20s based upon the skull's shape.
