What the hell? Where did all the Republicans go?
Recent polls by the ABC/Washington Post and other sources indicate that those who identify themselves as "Republican" (strong or weak) have dropped to a low of around 20%, while Democrats and Independents maintain 33% and 45%, respectively. These numbers are stable.

RNC Beats DNC in September Money Race

We wrote in Saturday’s paper that the GOP appears to be building fund-raising momentum heading into the 2010 elections.

Here’s another data point: the Democratic National Committee said it raised about $8 million in September. That’s less than the Republican National Committee, which raised $8.8 million in the same time period, and the second month running the RNC has pulled ahead.

Overall, the Democrats are still ahead, with $139.4 million raised to date compared to $125 million for the GOP.

That edge is attributable in part to the Democratic fund-raising arms for House and Senate candidates, both of which out-raised their Republican counterparts by nearly two-to-one margins last month.

The GOP resurrection, meanwhile, is being aided by a rise in small donors. In some of the most competitive 2010 Senate races, Republican candidates raised more than the Democrats did in the most-recent quarter.

Interesting.

Hope springs eternal.

:D

Yes indeed, it is too funny.

I was called and axed to participate in the poll. It was very short and you were given a choice of 3 answers.

"Do you consider yourself to be a wonderfully informed independent, a glorious and tolerant Democrat, or a racist bigoted Republican?"

I told the person that they can shove it right where Goofy540 pulls his information out of.... :smt006

The Democrats should just relax and take it easy.

Obviously the Republicans pose no threat to their power and there is no reason to think they ever will. The Democrats should continue to push their radical socialist agenda and the opinion of the American people be damned.

Ali bin Obama was crowned King of America with Pelosi and Reid as his court jesters.

(both Pelosi and Reid are very unpopular and they may not be re-elected but that's only because their constituents are too ignorant to understand what's best for them... )

THAT is entirely way too funny.

LOL

But I opted for this thread because the news sure made me feel good...... :smt006

What They're Telling Us
[Mark Steyn]

This piece by Lloyd Marcus, a black conservative, is called "Stop Allowing the Left to Set The Rules," and deals with the alleged racism of the anti-Obama opposition. As Mr. Marcus notes:

The Left published a cartoon depicting former black Secretary of State Condolezza Rice as an Aunt Jemima; another depicted Rice as a huge-lipped parrot for her Massa Bush. Neither were considered racist by their creators or publishers, or even widely condemned on the Left.

In opposition to black Republican Michael Steele's campaign torun for U.S. Senate, a liberal blogger published a doctored photo of Steele in black face and big red lips made to look like a minstrel. The caption read, "Simple Sambo wants to move to the big house". Not one Democrat denounced these racist portrayals of black conservatives.

True. Nobody minds liberal commentators expressing the hope that Clarence Thomas "will die early from heart disease like many black men," etc. Contemporary identity-group politics are prototype one-party states: If you're a black Republican Secretary of State, you're not really black. If you're a female Republican vice-presidential nominee, you're not really a woman. What's racist and sexist here is the notion that, if you're black or female, your politics is determined by your group membership.

2010 & 2012?

got news for ya....if 73% are upset as your article claims then it ain't gonna happen...

ya see edge,....if it wasn't for the independent voter, ...obama would NEVER have been elected....

the 20% of you hardcore obamabots will never see it.......but independent voter are sick of obama now....THEY can see right through all his lies... they are admitting they gave him a chance to do what he said he would do but are now conceding they made a mistake in voting for him.

add them to the 73% percent who are sick of the republicans and THEIR LIES?

well THAT is good for the other side no matter who they are....

now you know why Sarah Palin is endorsing independents...

No, Sarah Palin is endorsing narrow minded right wing extremists.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is warning conservative activists that their support for a third-party candidate in a key upcoming New York special election is a “mistake.”
Quote:
In a video captured last week and posted on YouTube Friday, Gingrich told tea party organizer Lisa Miller at a book-signing event that conservatives are inadvertently hindering the cause by backing Conservative Party nominee Doug Hoffman over Dede Scozzafava, the Republican Party’s nominee.

"Newt Gingrich VS Sarah Palin. The GOP begins to eat their young and Caribou Barbie is offering to fry'em up!"

Quote:
“I just think it is a mistake for the conservative movement to think splitting in the special election is a smart idea,” Gingrich said. “If we give that seat to the Democrats, shame on us.”

Indeed.

Perhaps Goofy540 is getting apolectic posting more nonsense than usual since the news came out that Barack "the golfer" Obasama has played more golf in 9 months than President Bush did in 3 YEARS.

While we are involved in 2 wars and the economy is falling apart, the glorious Chimp-in-Chief is throwing HUGE parties and jet setting his family to Paris for shopping trips and playing golf.

'We is in the big house now, kids."

Typical.
