I heard that. When I heard this story I was furious. Had it not been for a FOI request from Fox News you'd have never known. And it wasn't an easy road to finally get the documents either. So much for Obama's open government.

I think that money needs to be paid back. For example GE paid no income taxes but got a big chunk of change out of this scam. Why should taxpayers fund early retirement anyway? Isn't the whole point of offering early retirement to save money anyway? Picking up any short term hardship on those who choose an early retirement is the responsibility of corporations & unions to work out themselves, not me & you involuntarily.

That's an interesting point. When this dolt started teaching, a complete moron could earn a teaching degree at a grade Z state college, it was easy to get a job, easy to get tenure and then just mail it in every day for 30 years. In other words..."teacher"==not very impressive at all, but you would still expect a basic level of common sense and intelligence.
That said...if you read a sampling of what this idiot has posted on these boards, one would reach the conclusion that he was a member of the custodial staff....except....as a custodian, he would actually have to do some real work and therefore, would not have survived.
