During a debate over the Republicans’ replacement for former President Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act, a GOP congressman questioned why men should have to pay for prenatal care

Rep. John Shimkus, R-Ill., chimed in with a criticism of the Affordable Care Act’s requirement that insurance plans include maternity coverage.

“What about men having to purchase prenatal care?” Shimkus asked. “I’m just … is that not correct? And should they?”

Trump is having to confront the threat of hacking, along with leaks from within his own administration — and, suddenly, he is not a fan. Trump and his aides have angrily railed against leakers, threatening to find and prosecute them and urging congressional allies to investigate, while being uncharacteristically quiet when it comes to WikiLeaks.

The man ran on chaos. He won on chaos. And now he's governing on chaos. The checks and balances and safety valves of the Constitution—the things that, well, constitute—the immune system of this self-governing republic are facing a threat that is as different as it is lethal.

By contrast, in 2009, the newly elected Barack Obama put his U.S. Attorneys in place, but he didn't fire all of the incumbent ones all at once without having the faintest idea who their replacements might be.
