Gun nuts across the country have their shorts in a bind over this "outrage". The New York Journal used the Freedom of Information act to find out the names and addresses of every gun owner in several counties in New York and publish them on an interactive map. Information like this could have prevented the Sandy Hook shooting if people in the community knew Adam Lanza had access to multiple high powered weapons.

You can even leave out the details. Exactly how would knowing an address stop any sort of shooting? By the way, you do know that long guns aren't "registered" in the same manner as are handguns, right, Sparks Hein? All of your local police forces have the addresses of your numerous gang members, but that doesn't stop the primitives north of 80/94 from shooting someone or robbing a bank on a daily basis, does it now?

Surely Brian Miller and the sales people at Deb's guns--where you bought your Raven, your Kel-Tech, or your re-blued Mossberg--know that they are dealing with a 50+-year-old, 350+ pound Reege-tard with the mind of a kindergartner when you stop in for a visit, right? Yet, you have had no trouble purchasing cheap guns. Why would someone with a brain be thwarted by a couple nonsense, feel-good gun laws?

Neighbors could access the online registry to inform themselves about threats in their neighborhood. Sandy Hook is a small community and Adam Lanza's mental illness was well known there. A phone call to the local police expressing concern about guns in his home could have resulted in his mother properly securing those weapons.

All sorts of drooling goons in Hammond/Gary/East Chicago/Whiting (look in the mirror) have guns and they prove it by robbing banks and killing each other every day. The press and the cops can easily access these records but they don't. If you are so concerned about people (well, at least White people) killing each other off you should have your nose in these records and be on the phone 24/7/365.

So medical records privacy is out? How would you know who has "mental problems" without scanning an electronic database of everyone's health records? Who's to say they were diagnosed? What else would an ambitious bureaucrat search for in such a database? Upper class men? Is that anyone who has more than a bus pass for transportation? What about the homeless with "mental problems" who would push someone in front of a bus or train? Would you publish their names and...oh...sorry. You know, Minority Report was fiction. right?

The same day of the Sandy Hook murders, a male in China took a knife, and sliced and diced a couple of dozen little kids in a school.
In England, which doesn't allow guns, people have been attacked with knives. A legislator over there has proposed banning long kitchen knives. He said they serve no purpose in the kitchen, as a short knife will do for food prep.
In Chicago, which has the strictest gun laws on the books, they have broken the record for the number of shooting deaths. The government in Illinois has made it impossible to have a gun for self protection. So, the good people cannot defend themselves, but the criminals have absolutely no problem.

Here's a link to the story the low information wing nut is talking about in China. Since the Chinese man didn't have a semi-automatic weapon, none of the 23 school children died. Every single parent spent the holidays with their children instead of going to their funerals. The attack illustrates why we need national gun control in the US. More guns=more gun related deaths. Luckily, now that Obama has been reelected, he is going to be able ram gun control down the throats of the neocons just like he rammed Obamacare down their throats in the first term.It always amazes me that people like Tiger1 claim to be Christians as they try to justify the massive loss of life that our lack of regulations on guns cause. We need to regulate guns the same way we regulate cars. Every gun owner needs to be licensed, every gun registered and gun owners should be required to carry liability insurance.
