Senate Democrats on Thursday may be reflecting on the phrase “what goes around, comes around†after their Republican colleagues went nuclear with Senate filibuster rules. Three and a half years after Democrats eliminated filibusters for most presidential nominations to push through former President Barack Obama’s judicial picks, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) used their own tool against them: invoking the so-called “nuclear option†to advance Neil Gorsuch’s Supreme Court nomination. Democrats attempted to obstruct Gorsuch’s nomination by using the filibuster, which requires 60 votes to bypass. By applying the “nuclear option,†Supreme Court nominees would only need a simple, 51-vote majority to be confirmed. The move is similar to what Senate Democrats did in 2013, when then-Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) used the nuclear option for judicial nominations. Although many Democrats were hesitant at the time, they deemed it necessary, citing Republican filibuster efforts. Only three Democrats opposed the nuclear option in 2013. Former Democrat Congresswoman Corrine Brown Ripped Off Own Charity To Fund Lavish Lifestyle  Jesse Jackson Jnr. stole $750,000 and only got 30 months in Camp Fed...it pays to be connected to the Party. Prosecutors in Florida say a former congresswoman took money from a charitable foundation for poor children and instead used it to pay for concert tickets and Beverly Hills shopping sprees. Federal attorneys on Wednesday opened their case in the trial of Corrine Brown, who from 2013 to 2017 was the Democratic representative from Florida’s 5th congressional district. Brown stands accused of multiple fraud and conspiracy charges for allegedly funneling contributions from the scholarship charity she started, One Door for Education, to her personal bank accounts. Between 2012 and 2016, Brown and two close associates raised more than $800,000, much of which they transferred to their personal accounts, prosecutors say. The trio allegedly spent the money on vacations, luxury goods and tickets to a Beyonce concert, among other expenses. “She knew exactly how to lie to these donors, and knew exactly where the cash money was going,†Assistant U.S. Attorney A. Tysen Duva said in his opening statement. Brown’s defense team disputed the prosecution’s characterization of Brown as a manipulative, venal politician. Defense counsel James Smith told jurors that his aging client was swindled by her former chief of staff, Elias “Ronnie†Simmons, the Associated Press reported. Brown, 70, didn’t know how to email or text, he added, and could not have been responsible for generating the emails cited by the prosecution as evidence of collusion. |

Charges filed against Tim Kaine’s son, others who crashed MN Capitol Trump rally  Ladies and gentlemen, look upon the face of "The Resistance." The son of a Democratic U.S. senator and seven others have been charged after smoke bombs and pepper spray were used at a pro-Donald Trump rally inside the Minnesota Capitol in March. Linwood Michael Kaine, 24, of Minneapolis, is charged with a gross misdemeanor and two misdemeanors, according to the St. Paul city attorney. He is a son of Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, who was Hillary Clinton’s running mate in 2016. The Ramsey County attorney’s office charged Francis Thomas Sagermerek, of St. Paul, 29, and Anton William Bueckert, 26, of Ontario, Canada, with using tear gas to immobilize, a felony, and third-degree riot, a gross misdemeanor. Bueckert is also charged with felony-level obstructing legal process by interfering with a peace officer. |

On Memorial Day, Leftist Site Vox Smears Marine Corps As Having ‘Toxic Masculinity Problem’  Cute....Liberals making like they know something about being masculine. Left-wing website Vox attacked the Marine Corps for its “toxic masculinity problem†on Memorial Day, the national holiday dedicated to honoring the American men and women who died serving their country in the armed forces. The liberal website, a personal favorite of Barack Obama with a reputation for butchering simple facts, claimed the Marine Corps has a “well-earned reputation for being a fraternity that often marginalizes or mistreats female troops.†The author, Vox staff writer Alex Ward, does not appear to be a military veteran, although his current Twitter profile picture does show him drinking a very masculine-looking glass of lemon water. |

Democrat Party Antifa Stabs Police Horse in the Neck Using a Nail-Topped Pole  I NEVER thought I would think, much less say this, but... A Philadelphia woman was arrested after she attacked a police horse with a flag pole topped with a silver nail during a demonstration in Harrisburg on Saturday morning. The Sharia-supporting Antifs was rioting against a “March Against Sharia†protest. She hit the horse in the neck to prevent an officer from doing his duty. The horse will be okay but she’s in the Dauphin County Prison on $100,000 bail. Lisa Simon, animal abuser Lisa Simon, 23, is charged with aggravated assault, illegally taunting a police animal, prohibited offensive weapons, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstruction administrative law. She was arraigned and taken to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail. Democrats do not speak out against these terrorists. They make general comments saying they are against violence, paying lip service only. The incident took place during a demonstration at the Pennsylvania State Capitol Complex in Harrisburg shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The “March Against Sharia†took place in more than 20 cities, including New York, Dallas and Atlanta, and was projected to be ACT for America’s largest protest against Sharia Law. |

Nebraska Democratic Party official caught on tape saying he's glad Scalise got shot  He also said he wished he was "F***ing dead." Imagine the outrage if someone said that about Gabby Giffords. OMAHA, Neb. (KPTM) – A Nebraska Democratic Party official is now in hot water. An audio recording was posted on YouTube Thursday with Phil Montag, a technology chairman, voicing how glad he was that House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., got shot last week at a GOP baseball practice. Nebraska Democratic Party Chairwoman Jane Kleeb confirmed to FOX 42 News Thursday it was really his voice. “His whole job is to get people, convince Republicans to (expletive) kick people off (expletive) health care. I’m glad he got shot,†said Montag in the audio recording. Montag is now looking for a new job; Kleeb let him go after the recording became public. “I wish he was (expletive) dead,†said Montag in the recording. “We obviously condemn any kind of violence, whether it’s comments on Facebook or comments in a meeting,†said Kleeb when reached by phone Thursday. |
