1997: The Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act for nearly one million illegal aliens from Central America


1998: The Haitian Refugee Immigration Fairness Act amnesty for 125,000 illegal aliens from Haiti


2000: Extension of amnesty for some 400,000 illegal aliens who claimed eligibility under the 1986 act

Guess what? None — not one — of those amnesties was associated with a decline in illegal immigration. On the contrary, the number of illegal aliens in the U.S. has tripled since President Reagan signed the first amnesty in 1986. The total effect of the amnesties was even larger because relatives later joined amnesty recipients, and this number was multiplied by an unknown number of children born to amnesty recipients who then acquired automatic US citizenship.

And as I've noted before, there is no such thing as a "temporary" amnesty.

Making good on the president’s campaign pledge to target illegal immigrants with criminal records or facing charges, Immigration and Customs Enforcement Tuesday announced the arrest of 248 in just three states, including 50 previously deported.

ICE officials said that the arrests by Enforcement and Removal Operations were in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Delaware. They occurred Monday, Feb. 27, 2017 through Friday, Mar. 10, 2017.

“ICE officers make extraordinary efforts to keep our communities safe, and this operation is just a small example of what they do every day. ERO officers took oaths to protect the homeland and to arrest individuals in violation of immigration laws,” said ERO Philadelphia Acting Field Office Director Jennifer Ritchey in a statement. “This operation resulted in multiple arrests of individuals with violent criminal arrests or convictions in the three-state region,” she added.

The focus was Philadelphia, a so-called “sanctuary city” that has been refusing to comply with ICE demands that city law enforcement detain illegals for arrest.

President Trump has reached out to offer condolences by calling the fiancé of Sandra Duran, who was killed in a car crash by an illegal immigrant who had been deported five times.

It is just the latest in a series of gestures by President Trump to call attention to crimes committed by immigrants, as he seeks to tighten immigration, build a border wall, and cut off refugees from countries he considers a threat.

Duran’s fiancé, Rodrigo Macias, appeared on’Fox & Friends’ on Wednesday to talk about his loss as well as immigration policy, declaring that ‘Our system failed us.’

SAN DIEGO – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the San Ysidro port of entry thwarted an alleged human-smuggling attempt Tuesday after discovering four Chinese nationals concealed in the trunk of a vehicle.

“Concealing persons in vehicles is dangerous and could have severe consequences,” said Pete Flores, Director of Field Operations for CBP in San Diego. “San Ysidro CBP officers stopped a violation of our immigration law and were able to resolve the incident safely.”

The incident occurred at about 5:45 p.m., on Mar. 14, when a 24-year-old male U.S. citizen, entered the San Ysidro border crossing driving a 2014 Chrysler 200. While the vehicle was at the booth for inspection, a roving CBP Canine team’s Narcotic/Human Detector Dog alerted. Officers examined the vehicle’s trunk and discovered four individuals crammed inside.

Canada Has Detained More Mexicans In 2 Months Than In All Of 2016

Life is so bad in Mexico; the illegal aliens are self-deporting to Canada to avoid deportation back to Mexico.



The Canada Border Services Agency detained more Mexican migrants in the first two months of 2017 than it did in all of 2016, new statistics show.

According to the CBSA, 444 Mexicans had been detained in Canada as of March 9.

In 2016, 410 Mexicans were held by Canadian border officials.

The spike comes immediately after Canada’s federal government lifted its visa requirement for Mexican citizens in December. In January alone, 70 Mexicans made refugee claims upon arriving in Canada.

At that time, Conservative Foreign Affairs critic Peter Kent told CBC News the change was not surprising.

“We anticipated there would be, if not an immediate spike, a surge, and it seems that is what’s happening.”

Many Mexicans looking north have shifted their focus from the United States to Canada as President Donald Trump vows to crack down on America’s undocumented immigrants, about half of whom are Mexican.

Illegal Alien With Removal Case Against Him Charged With Raping 14 Year Old Girl

Two Maryland high school students – one of whom has an “alien removal” case pending – forced a 14-year-old female classmate into a bathroom stall on Thursday morning and viciously raped her, police said.

The suspects, Henry E. Sanchez, 18, and Jose O. Montano, 17, are in ninth grade at Rockville High School. Both are recent arrivals to the U.S., Sanchez from Guatemala and Montano from El Salvador, WUSA9 reported.

The Obama administration began the process last year of granting legal status to an adult illegal immigrant from Mexico with a criminal background who federal agents tried deporting twice and is now accused of killing his 15-year-old girlfriend.

Armando Garcia-Ramirez, 36, has been charged with murdering his teenage girlfriend from Texas, who local reporters identified as Jennifer Delgado, the Washington Times reported Tuesday.

The ex-couple had a one-year-old child and Delgado was nine months pregnant with another when she was killed. Garcia-Ramirez was reportedly Delgado’s stepfather at one time and may have been when he impregnated her.

Federal authorities apparently missed this relationship last year when Garcia-Ramirez was arrested for smuggling five other illegal immigrants into the United States. Prosecutors did not pursue the case, according to the Times, and Garcia-Ramirez went free after making bond. He was approved for a worker permit months later, which made him eligible for taxpayer benefits.

Muslim Man Attacks Police Officer While Yelling “Allahu Akbar” In Muncie, Indiana

MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) — One man is facing charges after he struck an officer for attempting to restrain him following a commotion in Muncie.

It happened just before 2 p.m. Saturday inside a Goodwill store when officers were responding to a call for a fight.

Upon arrival, officials found 24-year-old Khalid Bilal confronting store employees.

According to reports, Bilal then went on to break an officer’s hand after an attempt to place Bilal into custody.

Bilal was later tased after charging another officer that arrived on scene. After the tasing, the officer was eventually able to corral Bilal into handcuffs. The suspect then began to kick the officer repeatedly with both legs, causing authorities to shackle his legs.

Reports stated that Bilal was yelling “Allah Akbar” throughout the ordeal.

One customer told 24-Hour News 8 she was scared for her life. She was inside the store shopping with her three children when she heard a man screaming at the front.

“A guy had become very irate and was screaming at one of the employees and then grabbed him by the collar and start pushing him and screaming are you scared,” said Chasity Fraley, customer.

Three Salvadoran MS-13 gang members have been charged with second-degree murder in relation to the death of 17-year-old Raymond Wood, Bedford County Sheriff Mike Brown announced Friday afternoon.

Victor Arnoldo Rodas, 19; Jose Coreas-Ventura, 21; and Lisandro Posada-Vazquez, 24, have been arrested and charged with second-degree murder, Brown said during a news conference at Central Virginia Community College’s Bedford campus.

All three are undocumented immigrants and were arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Tuesday after initially being detained by the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, according to an ICE spokesperson. Rodas and Posada-Vazquez had been living in Lynchburg.

All three are members of the gang MS-13, Brown said, which is made up mostly of Salvadoran nationals or first-generation Salvadoran-Americans, as well as other Central and South American immigrants.

Brown said Wood’s death was not random and is connected to “narcotic-related activity.

Former Border Patrol Chief Says Illegal Immigration Down 67 Percent Under Trump

Illegal immigration across the U.S.-Mexico border has continued to fall under President Trump, dropping 67 percent through the end of March, the former border commissioner told Congress on Tuesday.

That’s even bigger than the drop reported for February, when the number of illegal immigrants caught — a yardstick for the overall flow — dropped by 40 percent.

“It’s actually up to 67 percent drop compared to last year,” David V. Aguilar, a former chief of the Border Patrol and former acting commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, told the Senate Homeland Security Committee.

Customs and Border Protection did not immediately respond to a request for confirmation of the numbers Mr. Aguilar cited.

The agency has been releasing its monthly figures each month, though the March figures have not been released.

But a drop anywhere close to the 67 percent figure Mr. Aguilar cited would be stunning, and suggests the early steps the president has taken to free up agents to enforce immigration laws at the interior and the border, and his plans to build a border wall, have deterred tens of thousands of would-be crossers.

New Orleans Mother Raped And Murdered By Illegal Immigrant Released In 2015

NEW ORLEANS – An illegal immigrant once in federal custody but was released is now accused of raping and murdering a New Orleans mother in her home.

Irwin Gomez-Colon, a 31-year-old illegal immigrant from Honduras, is facing second-degree murder charges after he allegedly raped, strangled, and stabbed Nancy Yahaira Gonzalez Rodriguez to death, according to WWL-TV.

Before 2015, Gomez-Colon was arrested by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency in Texas for being in the U.S. illegally. However, Gomez-Colon’s case was dismissed.

Then, in April 2015, Gomez-Colon was arrested by the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) and charged with allegedly kidnapping, raping, and strangling a woman. The charges against Gomez-Colon, though, were later dropped because of inconsistencies in the statements by the alleged victim, according to the district attorney.

In that case, Gomez-Colon was allegedly friends with the victim when he entered her home. After speaking for about 30 minutes, Gomez-Colon said he was going to use the bathroom, but when he came back, he had a knife and forced the victim into a bedroom where he allegedly raped and strangled her.

Now, Gomez-Colon is accused of murdering Gonzalez Rodriguez, whom police say he raped, strangled, and stabbed more than 20 times. When the victim was found, her 4-year-old son was sitting next to her crying.
