Pelosi Made Repeated Requests for Military Aircraft, Documents Show
Fox News

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has repeatedly requested military aircraft to shuttle her and her colleagues and family around the country, according to a new report from a conservative watchdog group. Representatives for Judicial Watch, which obtained e-mails and other documents from a Freedom of Information request, said the correspondence shows Pelosi has abused the system in place to accommodate congressional leaders and treated the Air Force as her "personal airline."

That's easy.

Democrats are holy and are the arbiters of all that is good and proper.

The fact that you are looking at their actions and not their words show that you are nothing but a racist, bigot, water hose, coat hanger, garage door opener, mail box flag, neocon, it's all Bush's fault anyway.

Besides, Pelosi is such the babe.....

bigot left this out:
Quote:
Pelosi's office disputed the claim, pointing to White House policy enacted after the Sept. 11 attacks allowing for the House speaker to travel to his or her congressional district via military aircraft whenever possible for security reasons. Her office said she typically uses the same kind of aircraft used by her predecessor, Dennis Hastert.

Hey I bet the bigot & the clowns at Fixed News were just as outraged when Dennis Hastert the Republican House speaker was doing the same fricken' thing, eh?...LOL

edited for simplemided morons:

According to MediaTransparency, "Judicial Watch is essentially a tool of Richard Mellon Scaife, who provides almost all its funding."

Richard Mellon Scaife is rich & wealthy CONSERVATIVE. Yes, how shocking it is to find out that his partisan "tool" would claim that Pelosi "abused the system".....LOL

Poor hedge..... :(

He can't read and doesn't know what the word "abused" means.

MediaTransparency is a left-wing survey of conservative activity.

Too funny. Hedge is using a left wing liberal group to claim that what Pelosi is doing is OK.

Looks like Pelosi and the greasy community organizer will be getting richer.

Typical.

Obama's Election Helps Spark Explosive Growth in Political Action Committees

The Federal Election Commission says that on Jan. 1 there were 4,611 political action committees, 9 percent more than the 4,234 PACs a year earlier.

More groups than ever are contributing money to presidential and congressional candidates as their strongest growth in a generation reflects the fervor over last year's White House election and a desire for access and clout on Capitol Hill.

The Federal Election Commission says that on Jan. 1 there were 4,611 political action committees, which are formed by companies, unions or other groups to raise and spend money to help presidential and congressional candidates. That was 9 percent more than the 4,234 PACs a year earlier.

Many of the ones created last year reflect the types of issues that President Obama and Congress, now largely controlled by Democrats, hope to tackle this year.

The chairman declined to elaborate, shrugging off questions about who told him how to run his committee and give the Democrat-allied group a pass.

But...but...but

They are doing all they can to conserve:

Gore a No-Show at Capitol Hill Thursday

..."It was a question of what was energy efficient for the vice president," pelosi said at her weekly news conference Thursday, explaining his absence. "We were narrowing the list of the undecided and thought perhaps another occasion we could call upon his time to come here."

Pelosi added that it was more energy efficient for Gore to continue coordinating efforts from Tennessee.

EXCLUSIVE: Pelosi paid husband with PAC funds

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has directed nearly $100,000 from her political action committee to her husband's real estate and investment firm over the past decade, a practice of paying a spouse with political donations that she supported banning last year.

Financial Leasing Services Inc. (FLS), owned by Paul F. Pelosi, has received $99,000 in rent, utilities and accounting fees from the speaker's "PAC to the Future" over the PAC's nine-year history.

The payments have quadrupled since Mr. Pelosi took over as treasurer of his wife's committee in 2007, Federal Election Commission records show. FLS is on track to take in $48,000 in payments this year alone - eight times as much as it received annually from 2000 to 2005, when the committee was run by another treasurer.

Lawmakers' frequent use of campaign donations to pay relatives emerged as an issue in the 2006 election campaigns, when the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal gave Democrats fodder to criticize Republicans such as former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay of Texas and Rep. John T. Doolittle of California for putting their wives on their campaign and PAC payrolls for fundraising work.

President Barack Obama introduces Nancy-Ann DeParle on March 2 as director for health reform. After serving as a director of companies under federal investigation, she's back in government.

How would you like health care changed?
As the government ponders health care reform, what are your top concerns? Gee i dont know....FRAUD?

Nancy-Ann DeParle, President Barack Obama’s health policy czar, served as a director of corporations that faced scores of federal investigations, whistleblower lawsuits and other regulatory actions, according to government records reviewed by the Investigative Reporting Workshop at American University.

Several of the companies were investigated for alleged kickbacks or engaging in other illegal billing schemes, while others were accused of serious violations of federal quality standards, including one company that failed to warn patients of deadly problems with an implanted heart defibrillator. Several of the cases ended with substantial fines paid to the federal government, even though the companies admitted no wrongdoing.

Since leaving her government job running Medicare for the Clinton administration, DeParle built a lucrative private-sector career. Records show she earned more than $6.6 million since early 2001, according to a tally by the Investigative Reporting Workshop.

Receiving stock options by seving on corporate board positions is 'GETTING RICH OFF THE LITTLE GUYS'?...no, I don't think so.

Intellegent, competent people know how to make money & get rich.
This administration unlike the pevious one, ( "you're doing a heckuva job, Brownie") knows how to hire intellegent, competent people who are actually qualified for the job & know WTF they're doing.

She did not do anything illegal.
Quote:
There is no reason to think that DeParle was directly involved in any of the actions that led to the investigations and sanctions. DeParle was a member of the board of directors of these companies, not the chief executive officer managing day-to-day operations. It is rare for directors to be held legally accountable for illegal dealings by management.

House Intel Chair: CIA has misled us for years

WASHINGTON - As lawmakers prepare to debate intelligence legislation, Democrats are accusing senior CIA officials of repeatedly misleading Congress.

Republicans charge the timing of the allegations and a threat from President Barack Obama to veto the intelligence bill are just political maneuvering to protect House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Letters by the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and other members of the panel say CIA Director Leon Panetta told Congress last month that senior CIA officials have concealed significant actions and misled lawmakers repeatedly since 2001.

Exactly what actions Panetta disclosed to the House Intelligence Committee on June 24 is unclear, but committee Chairman Silvestre Reyes, D-Texas, said the CIA outright lied in one case...
