There are two very exciting rumors swirling around in Washington. The first one is that Caroline Kennedy is being considered as Hillary Clinton's replacement in the Senate once Hillary is confirmed as the next Secretary of State. It is also being reported that the Obama administration is considering appointing RFK jr. as the head of the EPA. It is great to see the Democratic party start to draft some of it's young stars for prominent positions of leadership. By drafting the Kennedys into positions of power,Obama is securing the Democrat's ability to control the political direction of our country for years to come.

Kerry Kennedy’s drugged-driving trial kicked off Monday with her high-powered lawyer touting his client’s storied lineage, a point illustrated as her famed elderly mother, Ethel, made a rare public appearance – along with two of her brothers – to support her.

“She is a daughter of Ethel and Robert Kennedy and a niece of our past president, John Fitzgerald Kennedy,” said Kerry Kennedy’s lawyer, Gerald Lefcourt, to jurors in the packed White Plains court room, even adding that his “religious” client had two daughters who attended Ivy League schools.

But acting State Supreme Court Justice Robert Neary was clearly unimpressed — ordering the lawyer to start introducing pertinent facts in the case.
“Mr. Lefcourt, this isn’t evidence,” the judge sniffed.

Minutes earlier, Kerry Kennedy’s mom, the 85-year-old widow of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, walked unsteadily into the courthouse and entered the courtroom in a wheelchair. The frail older woman, dressed in a gray-and-white checked jacket, dark gray pants and sneakers, was accompanied by an unidentified man and woman. She didn’t comment.

Two of Kennedy’s brothers, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Douglas Kennedy, along with Douglas’ wife Molly, arrived later.

Bobby Kennedy exclusively told The Post in Monday’s paper that his sister — the ex-wife of Gov. Cuomo — should be found not guilty of driving under the influence of a sleeping pill because she’s a human-rights activist whose life-saving work would be severely curbed if she was sidelined by jail.

But prosecutors said in their opening statements that Kerry Kennedy, 54, had to know she was under the influence of the sleeping aid when she crashed and then fled the scene of the accident, because the drug kicks in quickly.
