Once again this idiot proves to us how unprepared he is to lead this country.

Seniorswill see a decrease in the money THEY PAID into all their lives while Jose and his extended family will start drawing benefits without ever having paid into it...

Spread The Wealth with ENTITLEMENTS by spending other peoples money...the only thing Obama is good at...

Obama: Social Security, Medicare may face cuts
Associated Press

Washington — President-elect Barack Obama said today that reforming massive government entitlement programs — such as Social Security and Medicare — would be "a central part" of his effort to control federal spending. Obama made the pledge but provided few details as he named Nancy Killefer as his administration's chief performance officer, creating a new White House position aimed at eliminating government waste and improving efficiency.

Maybe he can strip what's left of our WWII and Korean War vets of their bennies too....he doesn't need their vote...

Nope...and I still don't see him saying anything about "cuts" to Social Security or Medicare.

Show me where he said that "seniors will see a decrease in the money THEY PAID."

When McCain brought up that Medicare would need to be reformed, he was jumped on by the Obamers for hurting seniors. It didn't matter that the rest of his statement included the fact that benefits would not be cut but rather fraud and abuse would be stopped.

I love how edge disputes reputable news sources and then turns to op-ed in the NY Times to bolster his opinions with no basis in fact..... :smt005

This time he turns to liberal blog from the famous "Hate McCain, Hate America" website of The American Prospect with a gem from this fool.

Obama has this gift for talking out both sides of his mouth.....and his ass as well....

He can address one group of citizens telling them one thing (usually what they want to hear) and turn right around and get up in front of another group and tell them the exact opposite...without ever expecting to keep his promises to either one.

Which group are you in edge?

Now edge,...I know you belive that Obama will just sprinkle his Pixie Dust and wave his little wand over SS and Medicare and all will be well.....

But it just doesn't work that way...

and if you can't see that this phony and liar is going to shred SS benefits then you truly are an idiot.

The biggest problem here is that the people who voted for this idiot won't suffer.....nosiree not the entitlement crowd...

Nope, the ones to suffer will be the people who actually worked and supported the economy instead of being a drain on it...

Obama Says He Will Seek Overhaul of Retiree Spending
New York Times

Washington - President-elect Barack Obama said Wednesday that overhauling Social Security and Medicare would be ''a central part'' of his administration’s efforts to contain federal spending, signaling for the first time that he would wade into the thorny politics of entitlement programs.

BREAK

Speaking at a news conference in Washington, he provided no details of his approach to rein in Social Security and Medicare, which are projected to consume a growing share of government spending

The dems accused the Republicans of wanting to do this PRIOR to the election.....

how convenient that Obama rolls this out AFTERWARD....

You can keep repeating the nonsense all you want, I still don't see him saying anything about "cuts" to Social Security or Medicare.

Show me where he said that "seniors will see a decrease in the money THEY PAID."

As far as SS goes it's the f***ing Republicans that want the crooks on Wall Street to handle it.

Just imagine if SS was in THEIR hands NOW.
It's amazing how fricken' stupid you people are.

A few Republicans LOST their reelection based on these rumors....

I certainly would have never agreed to that.

But Obama waits UNTIL AFTER the election to pull his switcharoo...and you give him a pass....

A "few"..."rumors...."?
Damn, you really ARE ignorant.
You voted for idiots that would do exactly that:

Quote:
JOHN McCAIN’S FAILING RECORD ON RETIREMENT SECURITY
When it comes to issues affecting our aging population, once again Sen. John McCain has proven himself out of touch, aloof and in league with President Bush. He supported Bush’s plan to risk our Social Security benefits through privatization, voted to raise the Medicare eligibility age and missed a critical vote to reduce prescription drug costs for seniors.

OVERHAUL?????

Speaking at a news conference in Washington, he provided no details of his approach to rein in Social Security and Medicare

Obama owned media code for ''you don't wanna know''...

this guy could string Burris up on the front lawn of the White House and totally sink the economy of this country straight into a socialist state and you'd still bow at his feet...

Well sure. All we have to do is have the government spend massive amounts of money on makeshift projects and meaningless pork barrel spending and the beaurocrats will be good stewards of our money and make sure it is spent wisely. The government knows what's best for us and the beaurocrats are honest and trustworthy. They have our best interests at heart and would never dream of lining their own pockets in a corrupt and dishonest manner.

I believe....I know it's silly but I believe......

If the New York Times printed it, it must be true.
