Yeah it's shame most are in redneck states, LOL.

The stores being shuttered account for a fraction of the company's 11,000 stores worldwide and less than 1 percent of its global revenue.

More than 95 percent of the stores set to be closed in the U.S. are within 10 miles of another Wal-Mart. The Bentonville, Arkansas, company said it is working to ensure that workers are placed in nearby locations.

The economy cannot support these businesses. If these stores were lucrative, they would stay open.

That's because these businesses were nothing more than stupid marketing experiments that didn't work. Any moron knows that high volume, low prices = big profits, low prices low volume does does not. They were making a profit but not enough for the family.

If the economy was bad thy wouldn't be opening over 400 new super-centers, genius.

IF the economy was so good, they would have kept these stores open, and STILL opened new ones, cretin.

‘Socialist’ Obama Oversees Record 70-Month Streak Of Private Sector Job Growth (CHARTS)

The longer President Obama stays in office, the more ridiculous the right wing’s ‘soshulasm’ hysteria becomes.
That’s because the White House just released images on their website that show that private sector growth is still holding strong, so for a ‘Socialist’ President the data is all wrong. A socialist president would expand public sector job growth, but oddly enough past data shows that public sector job growth has occurred under every president since Jimmy Carter, except Obama.

As you can see in the chart below, private sector growth started booming two years after Obama assumed office, cleaned up the Great Recession President Bush created, and got the country back on track:
