It's obvious Tipper knew something.

And there is plenty of real news the Enquirer can now go after because the MSM certainly won't.

Since DUMBO came along the MSM has reported more fake and twisted bullshit trying to pass it off as news than the Enquirer ever did.

Two More Massage Therapists Accuse Al Gore of Sexual Assault
Business Insider, by Katya Wachtel

Former Vice President Al Gore has been hit by new allegations of sexual assault. This time, it's two more massage therapists bringing the charges.

The former VP is already in hot water, fighting abuse claims in Portland, where another masseuse said Gore groped her in '06 and asked her to perform a "chakra release" (massage-speak for "hand job".) He denies everything.

The new allegations are said to have taken place at two hotels - one in Beverly Hills in 2007, when Gore was in Hollywood for the Oscars, the other in Tokyo in 2008.

A source from the luxury hotel in Beverly Hills told The Enquirer: "The therapist claimed that when they were alone, Gore shrugged off a towel and stood naked in front of her." He then propositioned her for a sexual act, according to The Enquirer.

I don't believe any of this crap about Gore.
Why does it all go back to the Enquirer?
There are NO charges, and I don't expect there to be any.
But next thing we know, Fox "news" will come up with some bogus edited tape to bolster the scandal.
It's disgusting.
If you don't like Gore or his politics, fine, go after him about that.

You don't suppose the million bucks the Enquirer paid the first woman for her story had anything to do with this?
Now these other two come along courtesy of the Enquirer. Wonder how much they were paid?

If I remember correctly, the first woman went to the police, but they didn't do anything. Now that it has all come out in the media, the police are investigating. The Enquirer may be a rag, but they sure got Tiger Woods in his philandering, before anyone else did.

No. Check out The Smoking Gun for the facts. The first woman first complained when the incident allegedly happened, then missed three appointments the cops tried to have with her to investigate. IN the police report on Smoking Gun, it says she finally told the cops she didn't want to pursue criminal charges, it would be handled in civil court.
Smoking Gun is my source for the million dollar payment she reportedly got from Enquirer.

These detectives seem to think it's serious.

Former Vice President Al Gore interviewed on sex assault claims

Detectives from Portland, Ore., interviewed former Vice President Al Gore last week about allegations that he sexually assaulted a massage therapist in a Portland hotel in October 2006, KATU News reported Monday, citing a law enforcement source. Police reportedly interviewed Gore on Thursday in San Francisco. Portland police said at the beginning of the month that Gore was not interviewed when the allegations were raised. According to a statement issued by the police department on July 1, detectives attempted to meet with Molly Hagerty

I remember when Clinton had all the Monica problems, a Chicago DJ said about Al Gore: "At least he's stiff in a good way."

No Joke: Al Jazeera Buying Al Gore’s Current TV
Image
Talk about a perfect fit.

Quote:
Al Jazeera is finalizing a deal to take over Current TV, the low-rated cable channel that was founded by Al Gore and his business partners seven years ago.

If the deal is completed, Current will provide the pan-Arab news giant with something it has sought for years: a pathway into American living rooms. Current is available in about 60 million of the 100 million homes in the United States with cable or satellite service.

Rather than simply use Current to distribute its existing English-language channel, called Al Jazeera English and based in Doha, Qatar, Al Jazeera will create a new channel based in New York, according to people with knowledge of the deal negotiations. Potentially called Al Jazeera America, roughly 60 percent of the programming will be produced in the United States while the remaining 40 percent will come from Al Jazeera English.

Al Jazeera may absorb some Current TV staff members, according to the people, who insisted on anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly. But Current’s schedule of shows will most likely be dissolved in the spring.

The plan will bring Al Jazeera, which is financed by the government of Qatar, into closer competition with CNN and other news channels in the United States.

The real news and headline...

Al Jazeera Buys Current TV, But It Won’t Be On Time Warner Cable
Quote:
Time Warner Cable says that it is “removing the service as quickly as possible.” The loss of the No. 2 cable operator will hurt: Time Warner Cable has 12.2M video subscribers and Current reaches about 59M homes. Others also could follow.

As usual, mo, you've selectively chosen to write a subset of what you've selectively chosen to read. Al Jazeera is buying distribution rights. What of value does Current TV have to sell? Some soiled press passes, used broadcast equipment, and used up boredcasters? Do you think for a second that the Qataris would buy a content company where every distributor would be able to make zero the value of what they're buying? Would you trust the news if it were reported to you by an outfit paid for by the US government? Hey, that sound like NPR! What were the loons saying when they couldn't get real time "independent" reports about "Desert Storm"? You've a long road to honesty. You have to start by being honest with yourself.

Gore Threatened To Accuse Cable Providers Of Being Anti-Muslim Bigots If They Dropped Al Jazeera After Current TV Sale
Image
A play ripped from Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson’s playbook on racial shakedowns.

Quote:
Al Gore’s Current TV was never popular with viewers, but it was a hit where it counted: with cable and satellite providers. When he co-founded the channel in 2005, Mr. Gore managed to get the channel piped into tens of millions of households — a huge number for an untested network — through a combination of personal lobbying and arm-twisting of industry giants.

He called on those skills again after deciding in December to sell Current TV toAl Jazeera for $500 million. To preserve the deal — and the estimated $100 million he would personally receive — he went to some of those same distributors, who were looking for an excuse to drop the low-rated channel, and reminded them that their contracts with Current TV called it a news channel. Were the distributors going to say that an American version of Al Jazeera didn’t qualify, possibly invoking ugly stereotypes of the Middle Eastern news giant?

“The lawyers for the carriers couldn’t find their way around it,” said a person briefed on the negotiations who described them on condition of anonymity.

After Sale Of Current TV To Arab Oil Barons, Goracle Now Richer Than Mitt Romney
Image
Or to put it another way, fossil fuels make eco-hypocrite richer than Mitt Romney.

Quote:
Here’s a fun fact for this weekend’s dinner party: Al Gore is likely now worth more than Mitt Romney.

The former Vice President sold his Current TV network to Al Jazeera for a reported $500 million last week, a move that will make him worth at least $300 million, according to an estimation by Forbes. That’s more than Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who is worth about $250 million, according to a September estimate from Bloomberg.

If the Forbes guess proves true, it would likely come as a surprise to many. Since losing the controversial 2000 election to George W. Bush, Gore has probably become best known for his environmental activism, not his money (he left office with somewhere between $780,000 and $1.9 million to his name, according to MarketWatch). But he’s quietly made other moves to increase his wealth all the while — like launching Current TV, joining Apple’s board of directors and starting an investment management firm.

Romney, on the other hand, is famous for being super-rich. Before his political career,Romney made millions working as CEO of private equity firm Bain Capital. And he’s still making money off his role there through his retirement investments. It’s possible the former Massachusetts governor may even have more money than the $250 million number that’s been widely floated around. Columnist William D. Cohan notes that that’s an estimate provided to the media by his campaign and that Romney has made it tough to figure out the exact amount of his wealth.

All of this money proved rife for criticism during Romney’s presidential run. A video of Romney telling a private room of super-rich major donors that Obama voters only supported the President because they are “dependent on government” fueled criticisms that the Republican candidate was out of touch.
