Should Uran keep a guy on a plan commission who is facing DUI conviction and who pulls guns on police officers?

First get rid of Palmateer. He is scheduled to have a hearing this afternoon in Crown Point City Court.

Then, get rid of Uran on November 8.

He is putting Crown Point in the same condition that Obama has put the U.S.

Uran has increased Crown Point Debt by 51%. Obama only increased U.S. debt by 40%. Uran is borrowing huge amounts of money for public works projects that pay no taxes.

The Crown Point tax base is shrinking. Companies like Home Lumber, Powder Coil Co on Summit Street, Dawn Foods, Carroll Chevrotet, and Bieker Construction have closed and there are 104 more empty store fronts in Crown Point. Crown Point homes are in foreclosure for the first time in decades.

Uran wants to build huge appartment complexes and Bo Jackson stadium.

Uran is turning Crown Point into another Merrillville or East Chicago.

Democrats and Unions working together!

I doubt Uran will be going anywhere, if anything, this type of behavior by democrats usually results in a promotion.

It's a shame that Uran has let all those companies leave Crown Point. 4 years in office and all he has to show for it is a football field and a karate shack. oh, I forgot all the nice brick work in the street that was done near his home.

Not only have these companies left, but Uran has brought nothing to replace them.

Instead he is tremendously running up the Crown Point debt by 51% in just three years, borrowing from everyone he can, and spending on projects that pay no taxes.

Uran's policies are just like Obama's policies and will create huge problems.

What Uran is doing is like buying a big house with a mortgage you can't afford to repay - and at the same time losing your job (losing the city's tax base or source of revenue).

Mayor Uran is borrowing and spending Crown Point into bankruptcy.

He is borrowing more than 100% of the Crown Point budget annually and spending it on projects that pay no taxes. This is worse than the rate that President Obama is bankrupting the U.S.

Crown Point general obligation bonds currently have a AA3 credit rating with Moody's which is Moody's 4th rating after AAA, AA1, and AA2. It is questionable whether Crown Point can maintain their credit rating with Crown Point debt having increased by 51% in the last three years and the tax base shrinking.

The Wall Street Journal on Thursday, August 18 ran a strory on the number of cities and towns that are having their credit rating reduced.

I would much prefer someone resposible like Eldon Strong over a stendthrift like Dave Uran for Crown Point mayor.

"NWI.Com 01/03/12 CROWN POINT | A new year shake-up of personnel on key city panels included the addition of BP spokesman Tom Keilman and trade union representative Randy Palmateer.

Palmateer, business manager of the Northwestern Indiana Building and Construction Trades Council, was one of two appointees to a newly expanded Board of Public Works and Safety made by Mayor David Uran." NWI.COM

Are we talking about this “Randy” Randolph Palmateer? The same “Randy” who pulled a gun on a CP Officer? The same “Randy” who used his political pull through B. Carter to get court pulled out of Crown Point so that a Judge in the Lake County Court could get him off?
